New [Mexico] Adventures!: 11 days in NC

So Jack and I returned yesterday afternoon from spending 11 days in NC. Wow, never realized how long 11 days away from home could feel! We spent time with my sisters and their spouses, Jack's sister and her spouse and baby and Jack's parents. We also got to see some friends and have good chats while we were there and visit Harvest Bible Chapel (love that church). The trip was exhausting and we were definitely glad to be home yesterday. We even got to go to our small group last night which was refreshing. While in NC we did some disc golf playing, some running with our families (at least I did, thanks Julie and Jennie), some playing with our niece and nephews (the dogs hehe), some furniture rearranging, some bowling, some birthday Settlers playing, some Lake Johnson walking, some eating out (a lot actually), some Super Bowl watching, some parking lot dancing (thanks Dave), some snowboarding imitating, some flute playing (thanks Jennie!), some late night chit chatting, some present swapping, some doughnut eating, some tires squealing (because hey, it's a rental, hehe), some stick shift driving (I didn't even stall once, w00t), some praying, some Bible reading, some encouraging, etc...you get the idea. We had a full 11 days! And while we were there we missed some record lows in Santa Fe... -13*, wowsas! NM was rocked with some super cold temps while we were gone and lots of snow fall. Talk about 23 inches of fresh powder on the slopes! Sad we missed that!!! But, I'm looking forward to getting back up on the hill this week (after my interview on Wednesday of course, didn't want to go today and risk some freak injury or something) and the good news is....we're getting snow right now and tomorrow! YES!!
